Every cover is made to your exact measurements—there’s no L-shape too complex. We begin with basic dimensions (Width, Depth, Height) in the quote form and will request additional measurements later once the order is placed. Please submit the exact measurements of your island and our designers will add 1″ to the width and depth for wiggle room.

With over 100 fabric options available, we guide you toward the best material for your climate. For snowy winters, we may suggest HarborTime Edge or SeaMark. In warmer regions, breathable and water-repellent fabrics like Sunbrella Marine may be better. Each fabric in our lineup is hand-selected based on years of testing and real-world performance.

Everyone experiences different weather conditions so this isn’t a simple answer. Along with weather conditions, different people have different requirements in regards to water resistance, UV resistant, and more. Our suggestion is to request a quote and one of our experts will look at your state and notes to determine the best 2-3 fabrics. We also try to provide a good, better, and best option for all price points.
Our most common fabrics used for outdoor kitchen covers is Sunbrella Marine, HarborTime Edge, and SeaMark. Sunbrella Marine excels in areas like California where the UV in intense and winters are not bad. It also works great in the midwest but many people prefer to get a fabric like HarborTime or SeaMark that has a vinyl coating. This coating makes it thicker and more water resistant. This is great for areas with a lot of rain and snow. Everyone has different preferences and our job is to help you decide on the best fabric for your situation.
If something like tree sap or bird droppings is a concern, we would suggest something like HarborTime Edge which has a vinyl coating and makes it easier to clean.
We do offer waterproof fabrics like SeaMark. When you cut and sew these fabrics, you compromise the waterproofness. We have developed a seam sealing process for all covers made from waterproof material that helps keep water out. In our 25+ years of business this seam sealing has worked great. With that being said we cannot say they are 100% waterproof however we do everything we can to prevent water from getting through our waterproof covers.
Fabrics made from Sunbrella and other breathable materials allow the cover to breathe and naturally prevent mold and mildew. For waterproof fabrics, we add mesh venting on the skirt of the cover to promote airflow and prevent moisture built-up.
